About The Apprenticeship Hub

We are pleased to continue this skilled trades initiative for a second year. Our focus remains on supporting small and medium-sized employers and the apprentices they train.

In year one, we created an Employer Resource Hub and met with employers across the province to share it. The hub is a one-stop shop for existing free and low-cost employer supports, and includes more than 20 new resources designed specifically for small, non-unionized employers. These tools help with attraction, retention, and workforce upskilling.

The hub also connects employers and apprentices to free Get SET (Skills, Education and Training) programs (formerly known as Literacy and Basic Skills), which support on-the-job learning, in-school training, and overall skill development—boosting apprenticeship success.

In year two, we will:

update the hub to improve accessibility and functionality
continue meeting with employers and apprenticeship interest-holders across the province
offer new one-on-one and group support by an Apprenticeship Navigator
develop additional resources based on employer feedback
